Houston Foreclosure Alerts is run by Jordan and Josh — a two-person team that personally touches every record on this site before it goes live. No scrapers, no offshore data farms, no aggregator middlemen.
I'm the guy who builds and maintains everything you click on this site. Lived in Houston for six years, now based in Dallas — close enough to know the market, far enough to keep my head down and ship.
Josh and I started HFA because he'd been compiling Harris County foreclosure data by hand for years and couldn't find a single tool that took accuracy seriously. PropStream and DealMachine are huge platforms with stale national data; we wanted a small one that knew Houston cold. So he kept doing the research and I built the rest.
Most days I'm deep in the code making sure the data lands clean, the maps don't lag, and the imports don't drop a row. The rest of the time I'm answering customer emails — if you've ever written to support and gotten a fast, slightly nerdy response, that was me.
Off the clock: married, Patriots fan (please don't hold it against me, this is Texas), and probably playing a video game I don't have time for.
I'm Josh — the real estate half of HFA. I've been hand-tracking Harris County foreclosure filings, code violations, and tax delinquent rolls for years because the national tools never had the freshness or accuracy I needed to actually go close deals.
Houston is the market I know. Every record on this site has been touched by someone on our research team before it goes live. We don't scrape, we don't aggregate; we open the courthouse records and enter what's actually there.
Hand-entered data. Every foreclosure, tax delinquent record, and code violation in our database was reviewed and entered by a real person. We don't scrape, we don't OCR, we don't trust national aggregators.
Harris County focus. We do one market and we do it well. Most investor tools spread thin across 3,000+ US counties with stale, broken data. We cover Harris County, depth over breadth.
Small team, real humans. When you email support, one of us answers. When you find a bug, we fix it the same week. When you ask for a feature, we actually consider it.
